SOLANO, Nueva Vizcaya Former die-hard members of the Laban ng Demokratikong Pilipino (LDP) here led by former congressman and House minority leader Carlos Padilla have formed their own political party.
Padilla yesterday said that "all systems were already set" for the launching of the Partido Abante Nueva Vizcaya, the provinces first-ever locally organized political party.
The formation of the party, which would be purely independent from any national political party, he said, started late last year in the wake of the infightings confronting the LDP, and in the light of the ongoing political crisis besetting the country.
He said the new local party would serve as the "new home" of the former LDP members here expelled by LDP president Sen. Edgardo Angara during last years intense selection for the partys presidential standard bearer. Charlie Lagasca
