MANILA, Philippines — P-pop group SB19 released the first single of its upcoming album "Simula at Wakas," which it will promote in a world tour this year.

The new single is titled "DAM," a play on the Filipino word "pakiramdam" or "feeling," and it explores themes of staying true to one's values and principles amid the sacrifice needed to achieve bigger dreams.

"DAM" fuses elements of hip-hop, folk, EDM (electronic dance music), industrial, and prog-rock while retaining SB19's signature martial energy that defined previous hits.

In a collective statement, SB19 acknowledged that it has always pushed boundaries when it came to music.

"For this particular track, we've built on the elements that made 'What' and 'Gento' resonate so strongly with the general public, but we've also uncharted sonic territories that gave us the creative freedom to truly express ourselves," SB19 added.

Accompanying the single was a medieval themed-music video directed by Alanshiii and produced by 1032 Lab, the latter collaborating with SB19 on the concept.

SB19 will begin its "Simula at Wakas" world tour in the Philippine Arena on May 31 then fly to Taipei for a show on June 29.

The North America leg of the tour will be from July 11 to August 1, with stops in cities, such as San Francisco, Los Angeles, Temecula in California; Honolulu in Hawaii; and Toronto, Calgary, and Vancouver in Canada.

After Hawaii, SB19 will head back to Asia for a show in Singapore on August 24, with concert dates to be announced for Hong Kong and Tokyo.
