2 get life for drugs

MANILA, Philippines - Two men were sentenced yesterday to life imprisonment by a Parañaque City court for selling 20 kilograms of marijuana in 2008.

Judge Danilo Suarez found Johnny Romero and Apry dela Cruz guilty of drug trafficking and ordered them to pay a fine of P1 million each.

The court ordered their transfer to the New Bilibid Prisons in Muntinlupa from the Parañaque City jail.

Romero and Dela Cruz were arrested by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Barangay Tambo, Parañaque City on Feb. 3, 2008.
