MANILA, Philippines — The Metro Manila police will deploy an initial 12,325 personnel for the observance of All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days.

Of the number, over 2,000 police personnel will be assigned to 147 cemeteries, columbaria and memorial parks.

“The initial deployment includes 11,700 policemen and 625 personnel from regional support units. The number may still be adjusted based on security assessments and projected crowd sizes,” National Capital Region Police Office spokesperson Lt. Col. Hazel Asilo told dzMM yesterday.

The Manila North Cemetery is expecting up to two million visitors this year, exceeding last year’s 1.8 million.

Asilo warned the public against posting updates on social media that could reveal when their homes are unoccupied.
