Alden Richards' 'fake' nude photo: GMA-7 to sue even those sharing, writing libelous comments
MANILA, Philippines — GMA-7 will file a case against the people behind the manipulated nude photo of Kapuso actor Alden Richards.
Sparkle GMA Artist Center released a statement yesterday, saying that the nude photo of the actor is fabricated.
“We wish to inform the public that the said photo is fake and digitally altered using a picture that Mr. Richards posted on his social media account months ago,” Sparkle said.
The artist center said that they condemn the spreading of the fake photo since Alden is a role model for many people.
“Mr. Richards is a role model for many people and we strongly condemn perpetrators of malicious activities related to our artists, including the spreading of groundless information and defamation,” it said.
“GMA strongly denounces criminal use of social media. We will be seeking legal recourse against those involved in the posting and sharing of this fake photo as well as those posting libelous comments on said photo,” it added.
