MANILA, Philippines — Actor Cesar Montano has denied accusations that government money was spent for him and other celebrities for the recent five-day state visit of President Rodrigo Duterte to Russia.

Speaking before thousands of overseas Filipino workers in Moscow, Cesar said they joined the trip to entertain Filipinos in Russia.

Meanwhile, actor Robin Padilla has slammed critics of the celebrities who joined Duterte's Russia trip.

In a video posted on Phillip Salvador’s Facebook account, Robin defended Cesar, Phillip and Moymoy who were seen in different photos in Russia on social media.

“Mukha ba kaming walang pera?” he continued.

He also challenged the critics to prove if they are paying the right taxes.

Hinahamon ko kayo,” he said.  — Video from Facebook/News5
