MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya star Anne Curtis thanked Kapuso star Maine Mendoza for attending to her concert held at the Araneta Coliseum recently.

In an interview with Philstar.com during Shopee’s 9.9 Super Shopping Day launch, the “It’s Showtime” host said that the “Eat Bulaga” host was so sweet.

“I found it so sweet and I thanked her. I thought it was a sweet thing to do to come and watch my concert, post about it and of course, say such kind words,” Anne said.

Though the two’s noontime shows have been rivals through the years, the competition seems to not matter between the two hosts.

Anne divulged that it was the first time for them to talk after the concert, though they have bumped into each other before.

“We bumped into each other a couple of times, but it was only after the concert that I got to meet her. She’s very sweet,” Anne said.

Maine was all praises for Anne after she watched Anne’s concert, “Annekulit,” which celebrated her 21st anniversary in showbiz.

“So happy I got to watch your concert, Ms. @annecurtissmith. Congratulations on your 21st year! You were amazing on stage! And can I just say.. sobrang cute mo po. Anne kulit mo; Anne adorable! I am just so glad to be able to witness how great of a performer you are,” Maine wrote on her Instagram.

“Tonight was filled with lovely songs and lit live performances. Anne galing mo! There are so many things to admire about you. Continue being an inspiration to many, Ms. Anne!” she added.

When Philstar.com asked Anne why was “Annekulit” her last concert, she assured that she is just retiring from concerts, but not singing! — Reports from Deni Rose M. Afinidad-Bernardo, video by EC Toledo IV
