MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya star Anne Curtis said husband Erwan Heussaff was not jealous when former love team partner and boyfriend Chubi del Rosario surprisingly appeared on screen during her recent concert that celebrate her 21st anniversary in showbiz.

In an interview with Philstar.com, the “It’s Showtime” host said her husband knows Chubi. “Wala naman. He thought it was cute,” Anne said of Erwan’s reaction to the surprise.

Anne shared that although Erwan has seen most of Anne’s movies, even those featuring her with other love team partners, Erwan has not seen ‘TGIS,’ where Anne appeared with Chubi, because they have not acquired copies of the defunct teen drama series.

She also said that she was really surprised when she saw Chubi on the giant screen on stage.

“I actually had no idea. Even when the Shopee mascot came up, I got super surprised. It was such a pleasant surprise especially Chubi has been part of my 21 years in the industry, so I’m thankful to my Shopee family,” she said.

Anne added that the last time she saw her former boyfriend was two years ago.

“We had a mini reunion dinner maybe two years ago with all the ‘TGIS’ people,” she said.

Chubi surprised Anne via a video message, congratulating the actress after Anne danced with a Shopee mascot.

According to Shopee, the original plan was Chubi was supposed to be the one in the mascot that danced with Anne and he was supposed to take off his costume to reveal himself and surprise the actress.

Anne recently introduced the e-commerce platform’s new TV commercial and dance competition, which will culminate on September 9, in time for the brand’s 9.9 Super Shopping Day. — Reports from Deni Rose M. Afinidad-Bernardo, video by EC Toledo IV
