Robin Padilla on Kylie-Aljur wedding, Kylie’s rumored network transfer
MANILA, Philippines — After announcing their engagement during Kylie Padilla’s pregnancy, there are still no wedding details from the Kapuso actress and her fiancé, Kapamilya actor Aljur Abrenica. Kylie’s father, Robin Padilla, does not want to preempt the couple’s announcement.
In a recent interview with the media during a MoneyGram event where the actor led the awarding of 12 OFW families, Robin said he does not know if the couple is now open to discuss their wedding details, but he is happy for his daughter.
“’Di ko pa alam kung open ‘yan na pagusapan natin. Na kay Aljur ‘yan. Ayoko namang makialam. Unang-una baka hingan pa nila ko ng pera. Biro lang ha,” Robin told Philstar.com.
But the “Bad Boy of Philippine Cinema” said he is very happy for his daughter once she walks down the aisle.
“Pero siyempre ako’y masaya dahil ‘yun lang naman ang kaligayahan ng lahat ng ama na makitang pinakasalan ang kanyang anak at lumalakad sa altar. Kung saan man ‘yan, tubig man yan, basta lumakad siya,” the “Sana Dalawa Ang Puso Ko” star said.
Kylie posted an Instagram photo with a silhouette image of a mysterious woman. She captioned it “Abangan.” The photo is believed to be a forecast of her joining the cast of the GMA teleserye “The Cure.”
Robin supported the decision of her daughter to remain in the GMA Network, even though fans thought she will transfer to ABS-CBN because her father and fiancé are in the network.
“Ako naman kahit san siya eh. Kapamilya, Kapuso, Kapatid – lahat naman ‘yan Pilipino. Ang sa akin lang, sa anak ko at kay Aljur, wag muna sila mag-anak uli. Family planning. Masarap ‘yan eh pero dapat family planning,” Robin advised.
