MANILA, Philippines — In time for Binibining Pilipinas 2018 coronation, actress and Bb. Pilipinas 2015 top 15 finalist Teresita Ssen “Winwyn” Marquez gave pieces of advice for all beauty pageant aspirants.
“Siguro kung maexperience nilang matalo, ‘wag nilang masyadong damdamin. Tignan nila kung ano ‘yung strength nila, kung ano ‘yung weakness nila, mag-aral sila, mag-train sila ulit kung gusto nilang sumali ulit,” said Marquez, daughter of actors Alma Moreno and Joey Marquez and the Philippines’ and Asia’s first Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 winner.
“Losing a pageant doesn’t mean you don’t have a career. Not being in show business doesn’t mean you don’t have a career. You know, just use the opportunity you get and make something out of it. And if you win, use it for something good. Not just for beauty, not just for presenting yourself onstage. Use your voice for something real.”
Winwyn is among the celebrity mentors of the 12th year of talent search SM Little Stars, a platform for kids to share their talents, enhance their personalities, and develop their confidence.
