Proud daddy's girl: Yassi Pressman on being raised by single dad

MANILA, Philippines — It is no secret how much actress Yassi Pressman loves her father Ronnie, just like every “daddy’s girl” out there.
Everyone was touched when Yassi cried as she missed her father’s birthday for the first time in her life, a scene shown on the reality TV show "Pinoy Big Brother" last year.
Now, in the outside world, Yassi makes it a point that even she is busy, she and dad will celebrate Father’s Day together.
“I hope na wala akong taping. Pero as of now, meron akong schedule. So gagawin ko na lang, papaagahan ko nalang yung work para matapos nang maaga. Sana we’ve got to finished early para makapagdinner kami. Ganun lang. Simple lang,” Yassi told Philstar.com.
Since she is being raised by her “single dad,” the actress, popularly known as Alyana in the hit teleserye “Ang Probinsyano,” and her 88-year-old father have formed a strong bond - just like best friends. Her father was even in Trinoma to accompany Yassi when she judged the Jack ‘n Jill Calbee Dance Challenge.
“He’s amazing. He’s everything that I needed,” Yassi said.
Yassi is currently busy with her role in the “Ang Probinsyano” and will have a movie soon titled, “Ang Pambansang Thirdwheel.”
Also, Yassi encourages dancers out there to join the Do The Calbeats Dance Challenge online, where participants are invited to make their own Calbeat dance covers to be posted publicly on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
For his part, Ronnie said he is really proud of what Yassi has achieved so far.
“She made me the luckiest man in the world. I really am proud of her. She does have remarkable talent. I remember when she was a little thing in my hand and now she’s a big girl,” Ronnie shared.
