HOLLYWOOD — Besides Lady Gaga’s half time show, the Super Bowl in Houston yesterday was rocked by Disney’s release of the trailer of the fifth installment in the “Pirates” showcase: “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.”
Johnny Depp reprises his role as Capt. Jack Sparrow, now facing an old nemesis, Javier Bardem as Captain Salazar, a ghost sailor determined to kill all pirates, especially Sparrow. To defeat Salazar, Jack must find the Trident of Poseidon, an artifact that gives one total control over the seas.
Orlando Bloom also returns as Will Turner, along with other original cast members like Geoffrey Rush. To keep audiences hanging, Disney is not revealing yet if Keira Knightley is in the franchise as well.
"Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales," touted as the “most dazzling” “Pirates” sequel, opens on May 26.
