REtroSPECT reunion concert set

MANILA, Philippines – REtroSPECT is set to return with a grand musical reunion billed as RetroWorld REtroSPECT Reunion Concert Tour 2016.

Tonight at 8, the reunion concert tour kicks off in Cebu City at the Pacific Grand Ballroom of Waterfront Hotel & Casino in Lahug in line with the Sinulog Festival celebration. On Jan. 29, the concert tour continues at the Music Museum in Greenhills, San Juan with the party starting at 8 p.m. and featuring surprise guests.

The hip retro band is composed of J. Martin, now from Guam, Em-J from Naples, Italy, Ogie and Teejay from Manila, and Goldie from Vancouver. The group was hailed as Best Group Performer (Hall of Fame Awardee) at the 23rd Aliw Awards and certified by the American Federation of Musicians (AFM) of USA and Canada as the internationally-renowned retro pop group.

REtroSPECT will also have its world tour, covering US, Canada, Europe, UK and UAE in the next coming months.

“We decided to have a reunion concert tour to celebrate our 18th year in the music industry and as our little way of thanksgiving,” said band leader J. Martin.

REtroSPECT is donating a part of the concert tour’s proceeds to ABS-CBN Foundation’s Bantay Bata International. REtroSPECT is also into medical missions and community outreach programs, aiming to give less-privileged children scholarships.

During the concert, REtroSPECT will pay tribute to such music icons as Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, Whitney Houston, Bonnie Tyler, Boy George and will play its signature retro covers including Shake Your Booty, Bakit Nga Ba?, It’s Party Time, Chika Doo, Getaway and Who Will, among others. 

The band will also keep the crowd partying with revival hits like Hot Stuff, Play That Funky Music, Reunited along with OPM gems ‘Pag Tumatagal Lalong Tumitibay and Hagkan.
