100 years of Sinatra

Frank Sinatra would have been a hundred years old last Saturday. He was born on Dec. 12, 1915 and died on May 14, 1998. Sinatra was one of the greatest entertainers who ever lived. Showbiz lore has fellow singer Bing Crosby saying this: “Frank Sinatra is a singer who comes along once in a lifetime. But why did he have to come in mine?”

Sinatra appeared in films, TV, concerts and made 1,400 recordings. He was honored with 31 Gold Records, nine Platinum, three Double Platinum and one Triple Platinum Record  awards. He was conferred Lifetime Achievement awards by the Recording Academy, the Screen Actors Guild, the NAACP, the Kennedy Center Honors, the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Congressional Medal of Honor. He accomplished a lot in his lifetime but it is through his music that we remember him best. Here are some of the songs he left behind.
