AlDub’s Thrilla at Philippine Arena

Atty. Romulo B. Macalintal - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – The much-awaited meeting and showing of love between Alden Richards and Maine “Yaya Dub” Mendoza, popularly known as the “AlDub” love team of the noontime show Eat, Bulaga, was a “thrilla” at the Philippine Arena that brought exhilarating joy and entertainment to their millions of fans all over the world.

My wife, Mila, and I could not let go of  such a thrilling experience which I am sure will not happen again in our lifetime. The event, which was historical in the field of entertainment, was practically witnessed by all classes of people: Young and old, rich and poor, professionals and non-professionals, from Class A to Class E, and locals and foreigners.

And I could say without fear of contradiction that the AlDub sensation was a spontaneous demonstration of how deep is our love, appreciation and affection for someone with whom we could immediately and seriously relate, as we feel a seemingly similar warm and affectionate feeling when we see them on stage or TV sets.

It was a thrilling kind of excitement we had at the Philippine Arena in the midst of some 55,000 adoring fans of Alden and Yaya Dub. Truly, it was the right time to enjoy and relax Sa Tamang Panahon.
