Rochelle on settling down with Arthur: Two more years

MANILA, Philippines - Indeed it is a year of love as celebrity couples either get engaged or married. But in the case of Rochelle Pangilinan and Arthur Solinap, they would like to give themselves two more years before finally settling down. “Actually napag-usapan na namin siya, hindi ko naman itatago, para naman kaming timang 'di ba kung ise-secret pa namin,” Rochelle candidly said in an interview Thursday afternoon. “Napag-usapan namin siya and sabi niya [Arthur], ‘two years, bhe. Ipon tayo talaga.’ Kasi right after ng kasal is baby agad. Sandaling panahon lang ‘yan [baby], e, tapos school agad ‘yon. Hindi siya biro na parang sugod lang nang sugod.” Rochelle admitted that she has been looking forward to settling down, but “Mr. Right" came just now. “Actually plano ko noon pa, e, kaso hindi pinapalad na magkaro’n ng boyfriend na maayos, e. Ngayon, ngayon lang dumating,” she said referring to Arthur, her boyfriend for five years now. Asked if they would be willing to give up theur showbiz careers, Rochelle said they will stay as long as they see that the industry still wants them. Rochelle added that when they get married, she and Arthur would be more choosy with their roles. “Siyempre kailangan mo nang i-protect ang family mo,” she explained, and for her part, “wala nang sexy roles na kukunin. Siyempre respeto ko na lang ‘yon sa akin at respeto ko na lang din sa kanya at sa magiging anak namin.”
