Luis vs. Vic in action-drama

Luis Gonzales and Vic Vargas are brothers and bitter enemies in the 1964 Sampaguita action-drama Ang Rosaryo at Ang Tabak. They fight to death using bladed weapons (tabak), with a rosary hanging around Luis’ neck.

Leading ladies are Gloria Romero and Josephine Estrada and also starring Johnny Misa and Rosa Mia.

Vic starred in many action pictures in Sampaguita and other studios, also later doing bold movies. Luis concentrated on dramas opposite Gloria, his favorite leading ladies, Rita Gomez, Lolita Rodriguez, Carmen Rosales, among others.

Ang Rosaryo at Ang Tabak was serialized in Liwayway, written by Dr. Fausto J. Galauran, and directed by Mar S. Torres. — RKC
