Ishmael Bernal made his directorial debut with Pagdating Sa Dulo, a scathing critique of the Philippine movie industry. This is probably not the safest way for an ambitious young director to launch his career, but we’re talking about Bernal.

Offcam, the two anti-heroines were actually friendly, although when provoked, Bella could be a fighter.

Zeny later freelanced and starred in movies produced by NGI Productions, notably Kalinga and Our Lady of Peñafrancia.

Sadly, this proved to be true last week, when three veteran actors went to their eternal rest in close succession.

First to go was Cesar Ramirez, who died last July 17. Two days later, Oscar Moreno and Vic Vargas also went to the world beyond. All three were products of the Sampaguita dream factory.

Oscar Moreno and Cesar Ramirez are still lying in state (at the Funeraria Paz and Mt. Carmel, respectively) as of this writing, while Vic Vargas’ remains have been cremated.

(Conclusion)
Eddie Romero’s very first work as a scriptwriter was called Ang Maestra. Produced by RDR Films, it cast Rosa del Rosario as a city-bred schoolteacher who had to adjust to the rural way of life after having been assigned to the province. The film was directed by Romero’s "discoverer," Gerry de Leon. It also starred Rogelio de la Rosa as del Rosario’s leading man.
