'Budots' dance craze in Soho

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Tonight’s Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho introduces the latest dance craze in the Philippines — the “Budots” dance. If the Americans have Teach Me How to Dougie and the South Koreans have Oppa Gangnam Style, a group of youngsters from Davao called the Camusboyz have “Budots” dance to boot. In fact, it has already become popular in several parts of Visayas and Mindanao. But will Luzon allow itself to be left behind in this craze?

With a number of bullying incidents circulating in the news in the past weeks, October having been designated as National Stop Bullying Month seems a timely reminder. Jessica shows another side of rapper Gloc-9, who was also once a victim of bullying. Know his story and how he rose above his tormentors and how it inspired him to even write a song about bullying victims like himself.

A one-of-a-kind doctor is also in the house as Turkey-originating Garra Rufa or widely-known as the Doctor Fish assumes duty. Featured in fish spas all over the country, one can take a dip and have the small fish nibble on the dead skin of the body. This same treatment can be enjoyed for free in a Masbate spring that is home to a kind of doctor fish — the adsi.

Halloween is still a few weeks away but fear has already gripped Brgy. Balubad in Bulacan, Bulacan after the mysterious deaths of various livestock and poultry there. Among the victims are Mat’s four newly-purchased pigs that he found disemboweled and sucked dry of blood. Meanwhile, Ka Igno’s 29 ducks were also found dead. Rumor has it that the culprit behind the killings is an animal-devouring aswang.

Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho airs after Wish Ko Lang on GMA 7.
