Relevant movies for Pol Salcedo

As producer, Leopoldo Salcedo opted to do mostly relevant movies, like Parole (Pansamantalang Paglaya), which tackled the plight of a prisoner adjusting to his life as a free man. He was innocent of the crime he was accused of.

Parole (1954) starred Pol himself with Arsenia Francisco and Quiel Segovia, noted contravida.

Pol directed and wrote Parole under LGS Productions, Leopoldo Ganal Salcedo.

He won a FAMAS Best Actor award for The Moises Padilla Story (1961) and obtained another FAMAS 15 years later for Ganito Kami Noon, Paano Kayo Ngayon (1976), Best Supporting Actor.  — RKC
