Black Pearl heads for Araneta Center

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Ahoy, mates, Captain Jack is back!

Prepare for his return and set sail for the Araneta Center as we bring you Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, premiering tomorrow, May 20 at the Gateway and Ali Mall Cineplex.

Adding further energy and excitement to this much-awaited sequel, Hank Palenzuela (seen left) – the original and highly acclaimed Jack Sparrow of the Philippines – together with Karen Kunawicz as Angelica and the rest of the Black Pearl Philippines (BPP) crew will be making a special appearance at the 7 p.m. first-day screening of the film at Gateway Cineplex 5, bearing treasures from Disney for lucky moviegoers. BPP is known for their impeccable imitation of the Pirates of the Caribbean characters, from their detailed and intricate costumes to their beguiling pirate lingo.

The first three installments of the film established the series as one of the top five movie franchises in the world, joining the ranks of Harry Potter, James Bond, Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. This year, Jack Sparrow and his crew embark on an exciting quest for the Fountain of Youth, encountering zombies and mermaids along the way. And of course, Hector Barbossa is never far behind…

Will they find the coveted fountain?

Catch the adventure in stadium-seating Gateway and Ali Mall Cineplex, available in Regular and Digital 3D. Tickets for the opening weekend tomorrow at both malls are now on sale! Call 911-5555 or visit www.ticketnet.com.ph for inquiries.
