Alma and the men in her life

DIRECT LINE - Boy Abunda -
Ness (Alma Moreno) doesn’t give a hoot that Jeremy Marquez was quoted to have said that if his father, Joey Marquez, were to go back to one of his past relationships, he would choose Kris Aquino. "Naiintindihan ko si Jeremy. At okay kami. Maganda ang pinagsamahan namin," Ness quipped, unperturbed.

She also laughed off the story that she is condoning Mark Anthony’s philandering ways. According to Ness, Mark and Melissa are very happy and she hopes that people would give them a chance to build a happy family.

She said it’s also not true that she’s pressuring Wyn-Wyn (her daughter with Joey) to join show business. "Hilig niya talaga maski noong batang-bata pa siya. Ako ang nagsasabi na importanteng tapusin nila ang kanilang pag-aaral."

Some have also accused her of being overly-jealous, not allowing Gerald Madrid to work, literally confining Gerald to the house like a political detainee. "Hindi totoo yon. Ako, hanggang kaya kong intindihin o pagbigyan, gagawin ko."

All these intrigues are being hurled at Ness, who just turned a year younger. She remains one of the most beautiful faces in showbiz and she’s unfazed by the controversies that seem to follow her wherever she sings and dances. Ness has certainly learned how to deal with the dark side of showtown.

Ness is part of the cast of the Mga Angel Na Walang Langit, seen every night on ABS-CBN Channel 2.
