MANILA, Philippines — Super Bowl Halftime Show organizers have officially announced that rapper and producer Jay-Z will be the headline performer of the 2027 edition.

The announcement was made by audio streaming platform Apple Music during a game between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles.

Apple Music later shared on Instagram a video of Jay-Z inside a stadium surrounded by goats with the caption, "GOAT's out of the bag."

"Thirty years of music, work, and culture on the world’s biggest stage. This run continues to be a dream come true," Jay-Z later said in a statement.

The 2027 Super Bowl will be played on February 14, Valentine's Day, at the SoFi Stadium in California. Coincidentally, it is where Jay-Z just finished his "JAŸ-Z30" tour over the weekend.

The tour featured guests like John Legend, DJ Khaled, Too Short, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Jay-Z's daughter, Blue Ivy, all of whom are now shortlisted as possible guests to perform with him at the Halftime Show.

The top name on the list, of course, is the rapper's wife, Beyonce, who headlined the Halftime Show of Super Bowl XLVII in 2013 and was a special guest at Super Bowl L in 2016 with Bruno Mars alongside headliner Coldplay.

SoFi Stadium hosted the Super Bowl once in 2022 when the headliners were Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and other rap stars Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar, with special appearances by 50 Cent and Anderson .Paak.

Kendrick's time to headline took place at last year's Super Bowl LIX. This year's headliner was Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny.

Recent rumors were pointing to Jay-Z as the 2027 headliner, especially since his entertainment company, Roc Nation, has been producing the show since 2020.

Other performers under the partnership between Roc Nation and the National Football League are Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, The Weeknd, Rihanna, and Usher.
