Plantation Bay to host Supertrikids, aquathlon events

CEBU, Philippines -  The members of the Philippine developmental team will go up against Cebu’s triathlon kids as Plantation Bay Resort and Spa stages the supertrikids and Aquathlon events on October 25-28 at the plush resort in Lapu-Lapu City.

Before the actual battle, the young triathletes will have a clinic to know more about the sport and its latest developments. It will be handled by coach Melvin Fausto.

The intermediate clinic for the supertrikids will be on October 25-26.The supertrikids is for triathletes aged 15 years old and below.

 The participants will then showcase their skills in the STK triathlon on October 27.

The following day, adult swimmers and triathletes will be racing against each other in the aquathlon, a swim-run competition.

Triathlon Association of the Philippines (TRAP) executive director Oscar “Boying” Rodriguez, Jr. said the four-day activity is part of Cebu’s preparation for the Batang Pinoy set this December in Iloilo. (FREEMAN)
