Tribu Sugbu meets Pagadian in NBC
November 11, 2006 | 12:00am
With Bacchus Energy Drink-San Juan opting to default its game last night, preparations made by the Arthro/Kontra Arthritis and Skygo-backed Tribu Sugbu will be channeled to their match up against the Pagadian Explorers tonight in the National Basketball Conference (NBC) 2006 Spring National Cup doubleheader at the Cebu Coliseum.
"Sayang ang preparasyon sa duwa gabii. It's just very unfortunate Bacchus did not show up for the game," said Tribu Sugbu co-owner Jerry Guardo.
The walk-in-the park victory improved Tribu Sugbu's card to 4-3.
But tonight, Tribu Sugbu will have to face an acid test when it squares off against the Pagadian Explorers, led by ex-pro Nelson Asaytono and Michael Orquillas.
Tribu Sugbu of coach Al Solis considered Pagadian as one of the strongest teams in the league.
Led by veteran Joel Co, Tribu Sugbu's lean but mean roster also include Alex Cainglet, Tioy Almacin, Jerome Gadiane and Mark Ababon as among the outside scorers while Rino Berame, Randy Sevilla and Nyok de Guzman will be the guys at the post.
Earlier today, Tagaytay meets North Cotabato.
