Man arrested for drugs
CEBU, Philippines — A glass installer who is also considered a high-value individual in the illegal drugs business was arrested in a buy-bust operation by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit of the Police Regional Office-7 in Saint Jude Acres, Barangay Bulacao, Cebu City, past 10 p.m. Sunday.
The suspect was identified as Ronilito Supat, alias “Ronil,” 38, a resident of Sitio Riverside, Barangay Bulacao.
Authorities seized from him 700 grams of suspected shabu worth ?4.7 million.
After surveillance was conducted, it was found that the suspect was in charge of an illegal drug business and could sell one to two kilos of illegal drugs per week. It was also learned that Supat was a confidant of a man currently in prison for drug charges.
The suspect will be charged with violation of Section 5 and 11, Article II, of Republic Act 9165. — (FREEMAN)
