Student, phone dealer robbed

CEBU, Philippines - Around P135,000 worth of valuables were carted away in two separate robbery incidents last Friday and Saturday in Liloan town and Carcar City.

Nicholas Christian Pacifico, 19, a college student and a resident of Molave Highland Subdivision in Yati, Liloan lost his bag worth P4, 500, a wallet with P1, 000 cash inside, three units of Apple products worth P115, 000, an earphone worth P1,000.

He also lost his Nokia cell phone worth P500, a water jug worth P500, a 4GB USB worth P1,500, a ball pen and a school ID.

Police Investigation revealed that the robber may have climbed up to the second floor of Pacifico's house and gained entrance through an open window of his room.

On the following day in Carcar City, Nedie Eliorda, owner of a cellphone shop, reported to the police that the wooden barricades of her shop were forcibly opened and some of her things were lost.

PO1 Nelson Alico, officer-in-charge of Carcar police station, said that Eliorda lost a total amount of P10, 350 worth of valuables.

"Gikan sa ilang balay sa Guadalupe ang biktima unya nahibawo nalang siya nga abre na ang iyang tindahan," said Alico

Alico said that there are security guards roaming around the area but they didn't notice the incident.

"Gibantayan sab siguro sa mga kawatan kining mga guardiya mao nang wala sila nabantayan," Alico said.

The police are eyeing a group of teenagers in the area as the ones responsible to the incident. —, (FREEMAN)
