Woman found dead in Dumanjug
CEBU, Philippines – A 27-year-old woman was found dead few meters away from her house in Sitio Mohon, Barangay Cambuang, Dumanjug, Cebu Friday evening.
Gemalin Balucos Celbano was found by her live-in-partner Benjinito Ypanto, 47, on a grassy place beside a coconut tree, 19 meters away from their rented house.
The victim has a wound on her face believed to have been caused by a blunt object.
SPO1 Joselito Avella, duty desk officer, told The FREEMAN that the victim may have been hit by a hard object in the face.
Although, they are not yet certain if it was the cause of her death.
Responding policemen said that after Ypanto reported to their station they immediately went to the place of incident and found the woman's body with wound on her face.
They immediately brought the victim to the Barili District Hospital but declared dead on arrival.
Police said that Ypanto believed that his live-in partner was a victim of criminal violence. (FREEMAN)
