Comelec in Lapu-Lapu ready for power outage
CEBU, Philippines - Officials of the Commission on Elections in Lapu-Lapu City and Department of Education have assured the public precautionary measures have been taken in view of a power outage on election day.
Lapu-Lapu City Election Officer Ferdinand Gujilde said teachers and those who help in the conduct of the elections have been told to prepare emergency lights as was the practice in previous elections.
"Ato na nga gitan-aw daan unsay mga posible nga problema nga angayan matagad nato aron dili kini maka-apekto sa atong pagpangandam sa pagpahigayon sa piniliay," said Gujilde.
He said residents and city officials have indicated their support to the Comelec.
"Kami sa Comelec dako gayud kaayo og problema sa mga supplies ug nalipay kita nga ang mga dakbayan sa Lapu-Lapu mipaluyo gayud kanato," Gujilda said. (FREEMAN)
