Tau Gamma Phi fratman shot dead

An alleged member of the Tau Gamma Phi fraternity was shot dead by an unidentified assailant in barangay Poblacion, Compostela town, yesterday midnight.
The town's police chief Insp. Ramon Lacno yesterday said Juniter Emboy, 21, and his girlfriend were walking on their way home from a benefit dance when the assailant, with two to three companions, ambushed the victim about 50 meters away from his house.
The victim was shot in the torso below his left armpit and was brought to Chong Hua Hospital in Cebu City where he was declared dead on arrival.
Responding policeman recovered a slug of a still undetermined caliber at the crime scene.
Lacno said the incident might be fraternity-related since the victim's girlfriend alleged that the assailant was a member of a rival fraternity. - Norvie S. Misa
