VisCom: 30 NPA’s na-neutralized sa buwan sa Pebrero
CEBU, Philippines — Wala’y paglugak ang operasyon sa Visayas Command batok sa CPP-NPA sa tibuok Visayas Region sa buwan sa Pebrero nga niresulta sa pagka -neutralized ug pag-recover sa mga armas sa mga rebelde.
Ang duha ka Joint Task Forces sa Visayas Command nga mao ang Joint Task Force Spear (JTF Spear) ug Joint Task Force Storm (JTF-Storm) inabagan sa component units, Naval Forces Central (NFC) sa Philippine Navy ug Tactical Operations Wing Central (TOWCEN) sa Philippine Air Force nakatala og 21 ka armed encounters batok sa CPP-NPA sa Visayas Region.
Sumala pa sa kasundalohan 30 ka NPA, 14 niini ang namatay sa engkwentro, 15 ang nibalik sa sabakan sa gobiyerno, usa ang nadakpan ug 47 ka mga armas ang na-recover sa miaging buwan ug ang 34 niini mga high-powered firearms.
Si Lieutenant General Benedict Arevalo, Commander sa Visayas Command mitataw nga taliwa sa maong kalampusan wala pa matapos ang ilang misyon.
“Mission is not yet over. We may have achieved significant gains in our campaign this month but there’s still more that needs to be done. Our forces are now focused on preventing the resurgence of the CPP-NPA in the Visayas by neutralizing the few remaining members of the terrorist group,” sigon ni Arevalo.
