Mga LGU makapaabot og tabang pinansyal gikan sa India

CEBU, Philippines — Usa ka multi-million dollar grant gikan sa kagamhanan sa India (GOI) ang gipaabot nga makahatag og benepisyo sa Local Government Units(LGU) sa nasud alang sa pagpatuman sa mga proyekto nga makahatag og dakung kaayuhan sa mga lokalidad.

Kini human sa gihimong pagpinirmahay sa memorandum of agreement tali sa Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) ug sa embahada sa India.

Ang mipirma sa MOA mao si DILG Secretary Benjamin “Benhur” C. Abalos, Jr. nga nag representar sa Philippine government, ug Indian Ambassador Shambhu Kumaran, nga nag representar sa GOI.

Ubos sa kasabutan ang gobyerno sa India mohatag og 50 mil dolyares nga hinabang alang sa matag kalipikado nga LGU.

Kini aron sa pag finance sa infrastructure projects sama sa karsada, taytayan, community center, tunghaan, health ug development facilities.

Si Abalos mipadangat sa iyang dakung pasalamat ngadto sa kagamhanan sa India gumikan sa maong kahigayonan.

“On behalf of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. and the Filipino people, we would like to extend our deepest appreciation to the GOI for the financial grant for the implementation of quick impact projects that will immensely benefit local communities in the Philippines,” suma pa ni Abalos.

Samtang si Indian Ambassador Shambhu Kumaran sa iyang bahin miingon nga ang maong kasabutan usa ka milestone ingon man sinugdanan sa gilantaw nga taas ug mabungahon nga panag-alayon tali sa duha ka nasud.

“I would like to thank the Secretary for his vision, leadership, and decisive intervention to make sure that this agreement came to fruition very quickly,” segun sa Indian ambassador.
