Ordinansahon batok sa puneraryang dili motiwas sa serbisyo giduso

CEBU, Philippines — Giduso ni Cebu City Councilor Rey Gealon ang usa ka ordinansahon nga nagdili sa mga establisementong nagahatag og serbisyo alang sa punerarya , burial o interment, cremation, memorial ug uban pa nga pugngan o dili tiwason ang ilang serbisyo tungod lang kay kuwang og gibayad ang ilang kliyente.

Ang maong ordinansahon gi-refer na ngadto sa Committee on Laws, Ordinances, and Styling aron ma-review.

“It shall be unlawful for any establishment engaged in rendering funeral, burial or interment, cremation, memorial, and other allied services to refuse or to deny to render their services to bereaved families who have

engaged their services but failed to settle their balance, bill or other payables when the refusal or denial would result in the delay of the burial or cremation of dead persons,” matud sa Section 1 niini. Mabasa sab sa Section 2 nga ang establisemento nga gi-cover sa Section 1 kinahanglan nga kumpletohon ang ilang serbisyo pinaagi sa pagbuhat og promissory note nga naglangkob sa unpaid obligation.

Kini aron masiguro ang paglubong o pag-cremate sa patay’ng lawas subay sa sanitary regulations.

Ang promissory note kinahanglan nga makuha pinaagi sa usa ka mortgage o pinaagi sa usa ka garantiya sa co-maker.

“Any officer or employee of the establishments covered under Section 1 who fail or refuse to comply with the mandate of this ordinance shall be liable to six months imprisonment but not to exceed one year and a fine of Five Thousand Pesos (P5,000.00), subject to the discretion of the Court,” tipik sa Section 3.
