Anton dominates Slalom series
MANILA, Philippines — Iñigo Anton posted another impressive win in the Slalom series, virtually clinching the National Novice Slalom Championship with still two races left.
The Castrol-Yokohama ace race car driver dominated the field and ruled the 10th round of the Slalom series in Novaliches recently. An eighth grader, the 13-year-old student of the Baguio Achievers Academy emerged the youngest ever national Novice champion in Slalom racing’s 30-year history.
He recorded nine overall wins using the Mark Young-Mohspeed prepared Honda EF with 190 horsepower in all 10 legs of the series on his way to bagging this season’s overall national crown over Vegil Calayo of JAF racing and Powee Base of PNNS motorsports.
