Phoenix seeks sweep vs Racal

MANILA, Philippines – Phoenix goes for a sweep of the elims as it tangles with Racal even as Tanduay shoots for solo third against struggling Topstar ZC Mindanao in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

The Accelerators hurdled their first five games in impressive fashions, including a 126-77 blowout of the Aguilas. With Mac Belo back from a one-game suspension, Phoenix is tipped to get past Racal in their 6 p.m. encounter.

Racal is also reeling from its 72-78 defeat to Café France last Tuesday. That snapped its three-game run and another loss would dampen the Tile Masters’ spirit heading to the break for the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

Meanwhile, Tanduay guns for back-to-back wins as it plays winless Topstar ZC Mindanao at 4 p.m.

Fresh from a 105-102 thriller over Blustar Detergent last Tuesday, the Rhum Masters are heavily favored against the Aguilas as they shoot for their fifth win in seven games.
