Spanish cuisine at its finest

OH YES, IT'S JOHNNY! - Johnny Litton - The Philippine Star

Cebuanos were recently treated to sumptuous Spanish cuisine during the “Sabores de España: Viva Madrid” food festival at the Marco Polo Plaza Cebu (MPPC), a five-star hotel in the Queen City of the South.

The one-of-a-kind food fest featured a mouthwatering spread of Spanish dishes like jamon Serrano, seafood paella, fabada and leche frita, specially made by the hotel’s team of culinary experts led by Cebu’s authority on Spanish cuisine, Gema Pido.

Guests, including Spanish Consul Anton Perdices and wife Maripaz, and Amparito Lhuillier, were warmly welcomed to the gastronomic affair by the hardworking MPPC general manager Julie Najar.

Also a highlight of the said event was the Calle de Tapas, an array of Spain’s most famous tapas, served at the hotel’s signature outlet Café Marco.

Congratulations to Julie and the entire Marco Polo Plaza Cebu team for yet another successful and unforgettable culinary journey!
