A toast to Ann

OH YES, IT'S JOHNNY! - Johnny Litton - The Philippine Star

Angola Consul Helen Ong, who is also the lovely philanthropist and chairman of the Best Dressed Women of the Philippines organizing committee, hosted a cocktail dinner at her lavish home for the multi-awarded fashion accessory designer Ann Ong. Ann made such a big splash recently, receiving multiple awards in design exhibits in Paris and New York.

It was an unforgettable evening with vintage wines and a variety of canapés followed by an exquisite dinner amid the warmest of company of guests.

The party was well-attended by friends and admirers of Ann, who was overjoyed with the adulation shown by the guests.

Thank you, Helen, for a most enjoyable evening. And to you, Ann, the best among the best, thank you for the honor you have brought to our country with your fine talent and artistry!

A fantastic birthday for Emilia

Doting parents David and Mache Ackerman organized an extra-special party to celebrate the first birthday of their adorable daughter Emilia.

The family, dressed in trendy cowboy outfits, warmly welcomed their closest family and friends from the business, academic and social circles to the farm barn-themed party held at North Forbes Pavilion in Makati City.

The fun event was highlighted by the exciting magic show of renowned magician and illusionist Lou Hilario, whose superb act was enjoyed by the kids and adults alike.

May you grow up to be a healthy and loving child,  Emilia! Congratulations to the proud parents!

Of pearls & dressage

French-Filipino luxury brand Jewelmer Joaillerie, headed by executive vice president and deputy CEO Jacques Christophe Branellec, sponsored the 51st Annual Horse Show at the Manila Polo Club recently.

The successful show was attended by club members, ambassadors and other high-profile personalities. Spectators filled the terrace of the sprawling Enrique Zobel Field of the Manila Polo Club to watch riders and horses for the show jumping and dressage competition.

Manila Polo Club president Isabel Caro Wilson and general manager August Samala led the awarding ceremonies together with Jewelmer  executive marketing manager Tricie Legarda and FILA Philippines president Butch Albert. The club also organized an equine art exhibit featuring the works of Marivic Rufino, Mia Virata, Chelsi Yabut and Dindin Lagdameo.

Everyone had a great time!
