Sound heaven

OH YES, IT'S JOHNNY! - Johnny Litton - The Philippine Star

KEF, the world’s premier innovators in sound, is finally in the Philippines! Thanks to the vision and keen efforts of astute businessman Johnny Cobankiat, chairman and president of Co Ban Kiat Hardware Inc.

The obsessive drive to produce the best sound reproduction is what sets KEF apart. Founded in Kent, United Kingdom, KEF attracts some of the world’s most gifted acoustic engineers and has sold millions of speakers worldwide since 1961. KEF has received more than 300 awards including two Queen’s Awards for Export Achievement.

Coby’s managing director Charlene Cobankiat-Tiu and GP Acoustics International Limited director for distribution sales and channel marketing in Asia Pacific Jessica Chua welcomed guests to the launch held at the penthouse of The St. Francis Shangri-La Place in Mandaluyong City.

Guests experienced firsthand KEF’s digital hi-fi speakers and headphones that answer the call for top-quality audio reproduction, luxury design and functionality.

The gift of giving

The kind and generous LetLet Taleon Go treated her family and closest friends to a sumptuous Chinese luncheon at EDSA Shangri-La, Manila’s Summer Palace restaurant to celebrate her golden year.

For her birthday this year, LetLet decided to be the gift giver. She and her loving husband Henry Cocabo raised funds for the E.J. Litton Foundation, an organization established to help cancer-stricken children who cannot afford treatment as well as educate those who are underprivileged.

What a wonderful couple! The world will truly be a better place with more people like Henry and LetLet.

Unforgettable pilgrimages

The tireless Minerva Tanseco organized a series of pilgrimages to heritage churches in Central Luzon with her close friends.

First stop was at Santa Catalina de Alejandria Church in Porac, Pampanga where the group joined the town procession. Minerva and friends then headed to St. Peter of Verona Parish Church in Hermosa, Bataan where they marveled at the church’s beautiful and majestic altar. Truly a great way to rediscover our rich culture and history.

Until the next pilgrimage, Minerva!
