MANILA, Philippines — Petroleum companies raised gasoline prices and reduced kerosene prices today, following the trend in global markets.
Gasoline prices were increased by 20 centavos per liter and kerosene rates went down by 15 centavos per liter. There was no price adjustment on diesel products.
This is the second consecutive week kerosene prices were rolled back.
Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. and SeaOil Philippines Inc. said the price adjustments were implemented starting 6 a.m.
Flying V’s price adjustments started at 12:01 a.m. while UniOil Petroleum Philippines Inc.’s price changes took effect at 6:01 a.m.
In other text advisories, Eastern Petroleum Corp., Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc. and PTT Philippines Corp. said gasoline prices were raised starting 6 a.m.
Meanwhile, the Department of Energy said gasoline stations should comply with the posting of consumer safety and informational signs stated under the Retail Rules for Liquid Fuels for public safety and awareness.
