MANILA, Philippines - An alleged shabu supplier of drug lord Kerwin Espinosa has surrendered to Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa.

Lovely Adam Impal was tagged by Espinosa as a drug queen, Dela Rosa told reporters yesterday.

Dela Rosa said Impal was undergoing investigation by the PNP Anti-Illegal Drugs Group headed by Senior Supt. Albert Ignatius Ferro.

Impal was escorted by Chief Supt. Agripino Javier, regional police director of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, Dela Rosa said.

The PNP chief did not elaborate on how and where the surrender took place.

He refused to give information on the scope of the drug operations of Impal pending results of the investigation.

Dela Rosa added that Impal seemed to be telling investigators “half truths,” like Espinosa and Ronnie Dayan.

Espinosa alleged during a Senate hearing on Nov. 23 that he and slain Cebu-based drug lord Jeffrey Diaz, alias Jaguar, got their supply of illegal drugs from Impal.

Espinosa said it was Diaz who introduced him to Impal when they met at the Bagong Buhay Rehabilitation Center in Lahug, Cebu.

Impal reportedly owns houses in Cagayan de Oro City, Iligan City, Bukidnon and Makati City.

According to former Albuera, Leyte mayor Rolando Espinosa, Impal introduced Kerwin to another drug lord, Peter Co.

Dela Rosa said they were checking if there are existing warrants of arrest issued by the courts against Impal.
