Duterte to visit Brunei, Indonesia
MANILA, Philippines – President Duterte will visit Brunei and Indonesia next month.
The plight of overseas Filipino workers will be his main agenda in his trip to Brunei on Sept. 4.
Duterte will proceed to Vientiane in Laos for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) leaders’ summit from Sept. 5 to 7.
The President will proceed to Indonesia after attending the ASEAN summit.
Foreign Affairs Secretary Perfecto Yasay Jr. earlier said Duterte confirmed his participation in the ASEAN summit.
The Philippines is set to chair ASEAN next year.
Meanwhile, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has conducted a humanitarian mission on Pag-asa Island in Palawan.
