Erap to administer oath to PMP members

MANILA, Philippines - Former President Joseph Estrada will administer the oath to members of the Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino (PMP) and other organizations supporting his candidacy as Manila mayor.

The oath taking will be held at the Ninoy Aquino stadium in Malate, Manila at 1 p.m. today.          

Leaders of the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile, Senate President Pro- Tempore Jose Jinggoy Estrada and the senatorial candidates of UNA will also attend the ceremony.

“Some 10,500 people have confirmed that they will be coming to witness the oath taking of PMP members,” Jinggoy’s media officer Bienne Andrews said.

UNA is the coalition of Estrada’s PMP and Vice President Jejomar Binay’s Partido Demokratikong Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan.

UNA’s senatorial candidates are Jinggoy, San Juan Rep. JV Ejercito, Cagayan Rep. Jack Enrile, Nancy Binay-Angeles, former senator Ernesto Maceda, Sen. Loren Legarda, former senator Juan Miguel Zubiri and former Tarlac governor Tingting Cojuangco.
