Congress begins canvassing of votes for president and vice president

Members of the Congress, acting as the National Board of Canvassers, assemble at the Plenary Hall of the House of Representatives for the presidential and vice presidential canvassing.

Also present are the legal team of vice presidential contender Leni Robredo led by Senator-elect Leila de Lima. The two women are members of the Liberal Party.

Robredo's daughter, Aika, posted a photo of the legal team preparing for a heated proceeding with the camp of Sen. Bongbong Marcos, Robredo's rival for the vice presidency.
