John, Priscilla ready for altar date

One of the two Best Men, Willie Revillame (listed in the invitation as Mr. Wilfredo Revillame), has publicly declared that he’s not attending the wedding of John Estrada and Priscilla Meirelles on Feb. 26 (Saturday), 3:30 p.m. at Thunderbird Poro Point Resorts in Poro Point, La Union.

It’s because Willie felt betrayed when John and Randy Santiago signed up with ABS-CBN for the new noontime show Happy Yipee Yehey! which premiered last Saturday even, as Willie claimed, he was already negotiating with TV5 for a noontime show with the two guys who were his co-hosts in the defunct ABS-CBN noontime show MTB (Magandang Tanghali Bayan).

But John said that it’s okay to have just one Best Man, Richard Gomez (listed as Richard Frank Gomez), adding that he still cares for Willie who is like a brother to him (and Randy).

The invitations to the first showbiz wedding of the year have been sent out and, as wedding invitations go these days, conceptualized by a wedding planner, they are glossy (almost as thick as a booklet). The affair will be covered by ABS-CBN and not by TV5 as initially reported because now that he’s back as a Kapamilya, John has no choice but to quit the Kapatid Network.

Karylle: It’s showtime!

Karylle is certified Showtime host

Three weeks ago, Karylle cried buckets when she bid Showtime farewell after her 13-week-stint as a hurado. Now, the singer-actress-host is officially one of the hosts of the hit ABS-CBN talent show.

Karylle was advised by her management group STAGES to do a voluntary eviction to finish her album. Unknown to her, her exit is part of the plan to make her part of the show.

Before the announcement was made, Karylle performed a sultry rendition of Rihanna’s What’s My Name. A video tribute was also shown, which placed the new Showtime host in tears again.

“Ayoko naman talaga umalis noon,” said Karylle. “I am so happy to be officially part of the Showtime family.”

Karylle’s grand welcome marked a milestone in Showtime history because it was the show’s return to its 10:30 a.m. timeslot.

Billy Crawford was also added to the elite Showtime family, including Vhong Navarro, Anne Curtis, Kuya Kim Atienza, Rocksteddy’s Teddy, Itchyworms’ Juggy, and Vice Ganda.

ABS-CBN will air NBA Games

Here’s ABS-CBN official statement on its appointment as new home of the NBA Games:

ABS-CBN Corporation thanks Solar TV Network for entrusting to the Kapamilya Network the free TV telecast of the National Basketball Association (NBA) games starting on Feb. 19. As part of a co-production agreement, ABS-CBN will be airing the NBA games on Studio 23, which would be a perfect fit to the Kabarkada Network’s sports and entertainment programming. The playoffs and finals will be aired over ABS-CBN nationwide.
