Mom's love advice for Pia Wurtzbach: Be consistent

MANILA, Philippines — Pia Wurtzbach's mother spoke up about her daughter's love life on Sunday as the beauty queen was set to walk her last as Miss Universe Philippines.

Cheryl Alonzo, Pia's mom, said that she has no clue who her daughter is dating even as reports that Pia has been seeing physician Mikhail Varshavsky.

"I heard somebody's courting her, but that's all," Cheryl said when asked about her daughter's dating status.

Asked to give an advice to her daughter about love, she simply said: "Be consistent."

Pia earlier confirmed that she is exclusively dating Varshavsky, nicknamed Dr. Mike or the "sexiest doctor in the world." Varshavsky also posted a message for Pia on his social media account on Sunday night expressing his affection for the Filipino beauty who was to pass on the crown to the next Binibining Pilipinas winner.

"Even though tonight you're giving up the crown, you'll forever be my Miss Phillipines!" Varshavsky said on Twitter.

He also used the hashtag "come back soon." Pia has been living in New York to fulfill her duties as Miss Universe.
