WATCH: PNoy, Energy chief discuss renewable energy in Mindanao

MANILA, Philippines - President Benigno Aquino III and Energy Secretary Zenaida Monsada discussed the state of renewable energy in Mindanao during a press conference following the inauguration of the 300-megawatt Davao Baseload Power Plant last Friday.

The president promised to leave Mindanao in a better place when he steps down in June.

Aquino said in his speech that the power plant is part of the administration's commitment to transform the region from the "land of promise" to the "land of promises fulfilled."
