I condemn thee…

DAMN! A pastor told The Ear of his rather funny encounter with an electrician whom he hired to rewire his house. In professional electrician parlance to "condemn" an outlet is to render it unusable by removing its wires and contents. So when the electrician came to his house and began inspecting what needed to go, he kept saying this had to be condemned and that had to be condemned, etc.

The jargon didn't sit too well with the pastor who grew more uncomfortable as the inspection wore on. Eventually, he asked the electrician to use another term as it was conjuring visions of hell in his mind. The electrician laughed and complied.
