Pleasant, SSN rule maiden 5v5 B-League season
CEBU, Philippines — The Pleasant team and SSN emerged as champions in their respective categories in the inaugural 5v5 B-League season organized by Kim Abellar at the Duljo Fatima Sports Complex II Gym in Cebu City.
Pleasant edged past Lalis, 34-30, to grab the crown in the 14 Under division.
Gerald Igot showed the way for Pleasant with 13 points laced with six rebounds, three steals, and two blocks to become the hands down choice as Finals Most Valuable Player.
The other members of the Pleasant squad are Juanito Vapor, Angelo Racho, Kenney Dempaso, and Enzo Pitogo.
Niño Baluntang sizzled for 14 points in a losing effort for Lalis.
On the other hand, SSN whipped the BP Hardwarriors, 30-21, to grab the 17 Under crown.
Luiz Gonzales delivered an all-around performance for SSN with 10 markers, seven boards, three steals, and four blocks to romp away with the Finals MVP award.
Gonzales was backed up by Vince Denwel Godofredo, Chris Nazariene Solon, Joel Miñao Jr., and Ronniel Montalban.
