Team 1 dominates CitiGreen BFFs 1st Team tennis tilt
CEBU, Philippines — Team 1 led by Dyan Bohol ruled the second edition of the CitiGreen BFFs 1st Team Tennis Tournament with a lopsided 6-1 victory over Team 2 yesterday at CitiGreen Tennis Resort in Barangay Punta Princesa, Cebu City.
Noel Klayd Narvasa and Wilson Geromo opened Team 2’s campaign with a win at the expense of Juny Jorgio and Rex Tadena, 8-4.
Johnny Lasa and Neil Gorgod then scored a 8-4 win against Cesar Bohol and Nelson Capiceño.
Ogis Uy and Dennis Avenido also won against Jun Abellanosa and Bobstel Caldino before Contessa Copas and Browe Querikiol outlasted Dodong Labis and Regor Tobakan via tie-break, 7-5.
Rene Bacon and Al Papellero, however, prevented a clean sweep from Team 1 after upending the duo of Allan Zafra and Anmer Mancelita, 8-4.
Felix Mapait and Charlie Enriquez avenge Zafra and Mancelita’s loss with an 8-2 win over Kenneth Lumongsud and Entoy Bacon.
Dyan and Bobong Tamase sealed Team 1’s victory with an 8-4 triumph against Ann Uy and Max Tallido via the mixed division. (FREEMAN)
