NAGT series returns to Danao

CEBU, Philippines - The National Age-Group Triathlon Series returns to Danao City on March 20 featuring the sprint and mini sprint categories.

Organized by the Triathlon Association of the Philippines (TRAP) in association with the Danao City Sports Commission, the sprint distance covers one kilometer swim, 30K bike and 7.5K run, while the mini sprint, which is open only to 13 to 15 years old triathletes, consists of 300m swim, 8K bike and 2K run.

The men's division has eight age-groups: 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54 and 55-above, while the women's side has four:16-24, 25-34, 35-44 and 45-above.

There will also be a relay competition for the sprint category. Each team may have two or three members.

Registration fee is pegged at P1,200. Late registrants or those who will enlist after March 16 will have to pay P2,000.

Entry forms are available at Rudy Project in SM City-Cebu, Bikecology, Dan's Bike Shop, The Brick Tri-Shop, and Runnr-Ayala.

The top three overall winners will receive cash prizes, while the top finishers in different age-groups will take home medals, certificates and items from the event sponsors led by Rudy Project. (FREEMAN)
